“Where’s the groom?”
Morelli kissed me on the top of my head and took his seat next to me.
I was pretty sure I’d made the right decision. I knew everything there was to know about Morelli. I loved what I knew about Ranger, but I didn’t know everything.
“Babe! Babe, Steph, wake up you’re having a nightmare.”

I jerked awake, unable to breathe.
A big warm gentle hand rubbed my back. ‘’Babe, it’s just a nightmare. You’re fine. We’re here, it’s okay.”
“Omigod Ranger, I dreamed, I dreamed…” I couldn’t put the horror into words.
“It’s okay, you’re okay,” Spanish mumbles and soft kisses on my temples and throat. “Do you want to tell me about it?”
I finally was able to breathe, deep gulps of and warm Ranger scented air. The overall cool bedroom air, a hint of herbs and lemons. The silky thousand count sheets.
I kissed him back, my beautiful husband of the past oh so many years. “No, you’re right, just a bad dream”
Ranger nodded faintly, thought, PTSD. And they fell back into safe dreamless sleep.
