Today he's going to cut his hair.

For a while he won't be looking like a surfer. Nah. He's not going to miss his golden dreadlocks.

He has walked through fire and ice. He's deeply in love with someone. Someone who can't love him back without reservation. He's enchanted by the sad little truth. A small portion of him is addicted to the pain. Has he ever tasted the bitterness of jealousy? He grew up too soon and too early.

The naked woman in the bed whispers something in her sleep. Last night under the light she looked sexy and attractive. She's a very good dancer. She indeed is very pretty. He liked the way she traced a finger along his tattoo.

"Are you a Samoan warrior?" He likes the laughter in her voice.

He turns to face the sea and breathes in the ocean breeze.

The cloudless sky reminds him of Stephanie.

Happy Valentine's Day (Ranger and Anthony oneshot, by Adalind).

Hi! As a writer, you just never know what will inspire a story. I mentioned to my friend Adalind (Cat) that I'd been prescribed a new inhaler for chronic bronchitis. It is called Tudorza Pressair. LOL. So here is a little Val Day gift from Adalind.

The Tudorza Pressair

"Dude, have you seen my new Tudorza Pressair? It arrived off the boat this morning."

Ranger frowned, "It's not a Porsche, and it's yellow. What were you thinking?"

Anthony grinned, "It's faster than your Turbo."

"I doubt it."

"Seriously, I'll leave your ass for dust."

"Right."

"Race ya to the coast," Anthony suggested.

"I don't have time for this crap. I've got a meeting in five."

"Chicken. You just don't want to lose, Ric."

"I won't lose."

"Prove it, chicken."

Ranger raised an eyebrow, "Loser buys dinner."

Anthony laughed, "Loser buys dinner at that shit hot Italian place in New York, once a month for a year. Come on, chicken."

Ranger pulled his cell from his pocket and called Tank, "Handle that meeting, I'm off line for the rest of the morning."

"And I was beginning to think that you'd forgotten how to have fun, bro."

"No, I just have a reputation to uphold."

"Come on, let's go piss off the traffic cops on the highway!"

Ranger ruffled his brother's cornrows and smiled, "Think they'll catch us?"

"Only one way to find out, man."
